Daylight Saving Time 2016

Clocks will be set ahead one hour at 2 a.m. on March 13, 2016 and set back one hour at 2 a.m. on November 6, 2016.

So prepare to lose an hour of sleep as Daylight Saving Time begins and the clocks shift forward. The lucky ones in Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas will be as relaxed until now because daylight saving time is not for them.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 extended daylight saving time (DST) for an additional month beginning in 2007. The start of DST now occurs on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November in the US.

But whether daylight saving time achieves any of its aims is very disputed!
